About
Libertyville Connect advocates for positive youth mental health and a substance-free lifestyle by educating, empowering, and engaging our community.

Established in January of 2017, Connect is comprised of local stakeholders including representatives from Advocate Condell Medical Center, Lake County Health Department, Highland Middle School, Libertyville High School, Libertyville Police Department, Libertyville Township, and Youth and Family Counseling.
"I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive."
Joseph Campbell
Our Mission
To reduce underage alcohol and drug use by working with students and families in the community. In 2022, Libertyville Connect broadened its mission to include youth mental health awareness. This decision was made in response to advocacy of the Youth Connect Council and student-reported data from the Illinois Youth Survey, which demonstrated a sharp increase in symptoms of depression and suicidal ideation.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
This was an excellent event. I would have him [Nate Biggs] speak every year. It was very effective to have the LHS students talk . . . .The more we all learn the better off all of our kids are going to be.
Great topic and great speaker - very much appreciated.
Great topic and wish more kids could hear this info.
